Withdrawal of Left support to UPA ruled out : Basu

The Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M)patriarch Jyoti Basu ruled out withdrawal of Left support from the UPA government on the Indo-US nuclear deal issue, inspite of the comments of the CPI general secretary A B Bardhan who said that such a move appeared to be "inevitable". The 94-year-old Basu however would not be attending the Polit bureau meeting as he was not keeping well.
