KARACHI (Reuters) - Former Pakistan cricketers Imran Khan and Javed Miandad defended under-fire national coach Geoff Lawson on Wednesday, saying the Australian was not the only one responsible for the team's poor performances.
New Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Ejaz Butt described Lawson as "useless" on Monday and said his contract would not be renewed when it runs out in July-August.

Karachi: Pakistan's former captain and coach Javed Miandad advised the Cricket Board to play its home series at neutral and offshore venues until teams feel safe and secure to tour Pakistan.

The former Pakistan skipper Javed Miandad said that India's most wanted don Dawood Ibrahim is not in Pakistan. Miandad who is related to Dawood, when asked as to where the Don is located, replied :"He is well, wherever he is". The Pakistan Interior Ministry spokesman Javed Cheema also said that:"He (Dawood) is not in Pakistan and there is no truth in reports of his arrest in Quetta."
