NEW DELHI: Jawaharlal Nehru University will set up a Marathi Chair to facilitate research and comparative study of Marathi literature.
The Chair will be established at the Centre for Indian Languages (CIL) in School of Language, Literature and Culture Studies.
JNU had sent a proposal to the Maharashtra government last year which has agreed to grant Rs 1.5 crore for the purpose.
