The Security forces foiled the second infiltration bid in two days when they gunned down four intruders on Sunday night along the Line of Control in north Kashmir. According to a military spokesman, the movement of militants was picked up by alert troops of 14 Bihar regiment on the LoC in the north Kashmir's Baramulla sector.

The army has inducted four more battalions in Kashmir and has activated two reserve brigades to fight militancy and stop infiltration along the line of Control. The main idea behind this move is to contain the militants at the border itseld, rather than letting them enter and engaging them in the hinterland.

Foiling an infiltration bid, army troops today gunned down four armed militants along the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri district, defence officials said.A group of about six militants had sneaked into the Indian territory via LoC in Tarkundi forward belt in Rajouri from Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK) in the wee hours on Monday, the officials said.
