The Indian Navy Chief expressed concern on Monday over the number of nuclear submarines China is acquiring. Admiral Sureesh Mehta said though India is not worried about Beijing building a strategic naval base on the Hainan Island near South China Sea, it is concerned about the numbers.

Navy plane crashes at Goa airport

Panaji: A single-seater sea harrier fighter aircraft of the Indian Navy crashed at Dabolim Airport here but the pilot managed to bail out safely.
The aircraft on a routine sortie crashed at 11.15 am, an initial report said, adding that the crash had forced suspension of operations from the airport till 2 pm.
