Heavy rains in the state of Gujarat have inundated several areas in Junagadh Ahmedabad, Rajkot and Jamangar districts. Seven persons died and thousands were left homeless due to the incessant rainfall. The army was called it for rescue work in the flood-hit coastal town of Veraval in Junagdh district.

The Central Railway's services were affected on account of incessant rains, which resulted in flooding of railway tracks.According to Railway officials, at least 17 outstation trains from the city, including the inter-city trains, had to be cancelled and many rescheduled.
