THE BCCI has become the laughing stock as all its so called "tough measures" to professionalize the Cricketing Administration have boomeranged. The refusal of Graham Ford to coach "Team India" was such an embarrassing slap that the Board lost all reasoning and selected 73 year old former test player and manager, Chandu Borde as the manager for Ireland and England Tour.

Former Board of Control for Cricket in India president Raj Singh Dungarpur termed the Board's handling of the coach's selection as "unprofessional". "It was the BCCI's mistake to prematurely announce [Graham] Ford's name. It was very unprofessional," he said.

Graham Ford’s doosra has left the Indian cricket establishment stumped, and John Emburey has added salt to the wounds by declining the offer to coach India too. Red-faced officials will still be scurrying around for excuses and explanations, but harsh as it may sound, the simple truth is that the Board of Control for Cricket in India got what it deserved.

After Graham Ford dealt a major blow to the BCCI by declining its offer to coach Indian cricket team, Sunil Gavaskar said they were ‘back to the square one’ on the matter. The BCCI is now wondering why Ford said yes to the job when he didn't intend to coach Team India in the first place.But sources tell NDTV that the former South African Coach changed his mind only after seeing the way the entire selection process was conducted by the BCCI.Ford wasn't happy with the late start to the meeting and the attitude of the former cricketers in the selection committee.
