ICICI Bank today priced its follow-on equity offer at Rs 940 a share. It priced its American depositary share (ADS) offering of $2.14 billion at $49.25 per ADS, translating into a price of about Rs 1,002.5 per equity share and representing a premium of about 6.6 per cent over the domestic issue price.Each ADS represents two equity shares of the bank.

ICICI Bank, the country's largest private sector bank, is well-known for its aggressive appetite for growth, which is also a key reason for the two equity offers (total of Rs 9,100 crore) in the last 30 months.This time, ICICI plans to raise a whopping Rs 21,125 crore (including green-shoe); 50% each through a domestic follow-on Public offer (FPO) and an American Depository Shares.

ICICI Bank has received the nod from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) for its follow-on public offer (FPO). The issue of around Rs 10,000 crore will hit the street on June 19 and close on June 22.
