Maninder Pal Singh Kohli on Friday challenged in the Delhi High Court a lower court order extraditing him to the United Kingdom to face trial for allegedly assaulting and murdering British teenager Hannah Foster in 2003. His petition will come up for hearing on Monday before a vacation Bench comprising Justices Pradeep Nandrajog and P.K. Bhasin.

Case incomplete: Quattrocchi lawyer

The detention of Bofors case accused Ottavio Quattrocchi in Argentina was illegal from the outset, Alejandro Freeland, the Italian businessman's lawyer, said here on Tuesday. Also, the Indian case was incomplete, he said. These arguments and the previous rulings from the CBI's failed extradition attempt in Malaysia were the grounds for Mr. Quattrocchi's successful defence, Mr. Freeland said.

According to a front page report in Sunday's Toronto Star, Ernest Fenewick MacIntosh, a Canadian, living in Gurgaon near Delhi for 11 years, may finally be extradited to Canada.He was reportedly free all these years sexually abusing young boys overseas while the Canadian authorities dragged their feet on his extradition from India.
