In a bid to protect Indian women from exploitation, the authorities have restricted Indian women under the age of 30, who have not completed their high school from working abroad. The Minister for Overseas Indian Affairs Vayalar Ravi said that as per the new measures all the employment contracts would be drawn between the worker and employer and not with the recruiting agent.

Indian American Sikhs sue employers for exploitation

Angry over non-payment of wages and exploitation at workplace, a group of Indian American Sikh construction workers have filed a lawsuit against their employers in a city court.In the complaint filed on Tuesday, the workers alleged that even after putting in long hours of work in dangerous conditions they were not fully paid and often discriminated against.
