The son of former Pakistani Premier Nawaz Sharif said that his dad would return to Pakistan between November 15 and 30. Sharif who attempted to return to Pakistan, was deported to Saudi Arabia on September 10 within hours of setting foot on Pakistani soil after a seven-year exile.

Saudi Arabia warmly welcomed Nawaz Sharif - who was was greeted by the Saudi intelligence chief Prince Miqren bin Abdul Aziz - saying it welcomed the return of the former Pakistani premier to his former exile home. Hours after the Pakistan Supreme Court granted Nawaz Sharif the permission to return to the country, the Pakistan's President Pervez Musharraf said that the former premier could return home. The President said that Sharif had gone into exile by his own choice, as he wanted his jail term to be remitted.
