Kolkata: The Election Commission has decided to procure 70,000 high-tech Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) for West Bengal for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
"The EC has requisitioned the Electronic Corporation of India Ltd (ECIL) in Hyderabad for sending 70,000 EVMs having many additional features for the state for the coming Lok Sabha elections," Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Debashis Sen said.
