Chattisgarh: Fifty six polling officials from Korba district were today suspended by the District Electoral Officer, Korba, for negligence of duty.

Seven naxalites were killed in an encounter with the police on Tuesday in the jungles of Narayanpur district in Chattisgarh, police said.
"The naxalites were killed in the jungles near Khodgaon village. Bodies of three naxalites have also been recovered," Ajay Yadav, Superintendent of Police (SP), Narayanpur told PTI.
The police have also recovered arms and ammunition including a 12 bore rifle,
