Girls outscored boys by scoring a pass percentage of 85.02 as against the 77.37 per cent managed by boys.In all, 80.64 per cent of students who took the exam across the country cleared the exam, an increase of 1.09 per cent from 2006.

Yet again, girls have outshone the boys in the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) XII results, announced on Wednesday. In Maharashtra, girls outstripped boys with a pass per cent of 97.49 compared to 95.63 per cent for boys.
