Gopal Lohbare (40),a Shiv Sena leader and member of Nagpur Zilla Parishad at Tarsa near Mouda in Nagpur was attacked by some unidentified persons who beheaded him. The police have arreasted five persons in connection with the attack on Lohbare, who was instrumental in exposing corruption.

The Maoists rebels beheaded two men after finding them guilty of extortion and rape and then dumped their bodies on the highway. The police said that two individuals, Hero Singh Munda, 55 and Rajesh Singh, 35 were 'tried' at a 'jan adalat', or people's court, by the Maoists rebels and upon being declared guilty of rape and of extorting money in the name of the CPI-Maoist party, were beheaded.
