MUMBAI: It was a forgettable weekend for Dilip Vengsarkar. First the new management of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) did not consider him for the chairmanship of the senior selection committee. And as if that was not enough, the outgoing chief selector was then subjected to an avoidable embarrassment at the just-concluded Annual General Meeting (AGM).
DNA has learnt that Vengsa

NEW DELHI: Saturday's bomb blast has not forced either the Indian cricket board or its Australian counterpart to take a fresh look at the four Test venues and the tour will ago ahead as scheduled.
"The Australians have not raised with the Indian board the issue of security or sought any changes in the tour itinerary," Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) spokesman Rajeev Shukla said.

VADODARA: Partners in prime: Jagmohan Dalmiya and JY Lele
He is a rare cricket administrator, who could speak his heart out. And the latest from former Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Secretary Jaywant Lele is that Jagmohan Dalmiya, who is accused along with others of misappropriating funds during the 1996 World Cup, is absolutely clean. On the eve of another high profile BCCI Annual

The Sharad Pawar-led Cricket Board's long-awaited official website is to see the light of the day tomorrow, the first day of its scheduled two-day 79th AGM here.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is the only leading cricket board in the world without its own website. Even some of its affiliated units like the Mumbai Cricket Association, also headed by Pawar, and Punjab Cricket Ass

I look back at the last three years with a lot of fond memories and a sense of satisfaction. The Indian Board is one of the richest sporting organisations in the world, and I take some pride in being part of the process that led the Board of Control for Cricket in India to this level.
Being secretary of the Board is no easy task. The job demands a lot of time, patience, perseverance and sacrifice

MUMBAI: Less than 72 hours to go for the Board’s Annual General Meeting (AGM), and there is no indication on the new selection committee. Otherwise forthcoming, the mandarins of the cricket board were tight-lipped on the issue. All seem to be waiting for the word from Sharad Pawar.
“We’re waiting for Pawar saab,” said a top functionary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). “We want
