In the Nandankana Zoo in Orissa a tigress is struggling to survive after she was shot by poachers more than two months back.
Sita who has been in agony ever since, is admitted in the Nandankanan Veterinary Hospital. For the seven-year-old, the hospital is now her home as she has been here since the last two months.

Vital organs from a brain-dead girl were today transplanted into patients here, doctors said.
Having realised that their daughter would not return despite all medical help the girl's parents and her relatives came forward to donate her organs when they were informed that they could help several others.

Prime Minister's Economic Advisory Council chairman C Rangarajan today said the economy was witnessing "cyclical overheating" but expected inflation to soften in coming months with good monsoon this year.
