Dawood injured in a clash in Karachi hotel

According to intelligence sources, underworld Don Dawood Ibrahim,India's most wanted fugitive, has been injured in a clash in a Karachi hotel. Dawood reportedly suffered minor injuries on his left leg in a scuffle with fellow gamblers in Pakistan. The Karachi Police, however, have denied the incident.

The Al Qaeda has released a video which warns of terror attacks against India. It has also said that it will target Israel, Russia and the United States. The video features Adam Yahiye Gadahn — an American al Qaeda member who says that the Indian and American diplomatic missions worldwide are their legitimate targets.

Foeticide ruled out in Bangalore dumped foetus case : Police

The forensic examination of the foetuses found dumped in three bags in the heart of the city of Bangalore have revealed that all of them suffered from congenital abnormalities. The police said that the number of foetuses was seven and not 20 as per earlier reports. Out of the seven foetuses five were male and two were female, thus ruling out the possibility of female foeticide.

Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt moved the Supreme Court on Tuesday against his conviction by the TADA court and applied for bail. Dutt has been sentenced to six years rigourous imprisonment for possessing illegal weapons.

Ashok Malhotra, the alleged kingpin of a multi-crore land scam has been remanded to the custody of the Central Bureau of Investigation till August 21 by a Delhi Court. The CBI informed the court that Malhotra would be confronted with the evidence collected during the raids at his residence.

2 beheaded by Maoists on rape, extortion charges

The Maoists rebels beheaded two men after finding them guilty of extortion and rape and then dumped their bodies on the highway. The police said that two individuals, Hero Singh Munda, 55 and Rajesh Singh, 35 were 'tried' at a 'jan adalat', or people's court, by the Maoists rebels and upon being declared guilty of rape and of extorting money in the name of the CPI-Maoist party, were beheaded.
