Indian Doctor a suspect in UK terror plot

A 27- year-old Indian doctor was arrested by the Australian police in connection with a terrorist attack on Glasgow International Airport and two attempted car bombings in London. He was detained by a counterterrorism team at Brisbane International Airport on Monday as he tried to leave Australia.

In a 'filmi' twist, two identical twins, aptly named Ram and Shyam have both scored 86 per cent in their Class 10 board examinations. Born on June 20, 1992, Ram is the older one by 10 minutes. "their habits are similar", Born on June 20, 1992, Ram is older by 10 minutes. Their father, Sunil Khandelwal, says "their habits are similar".

93 Mumbai blasts trial adjourned till July 9

The accused in the 1993 Mumbai blasts will have to wait until the July 9 for their sentencing as the trial has been adjourned till then as special judge Pramod Kode is yet to recover from his injuries sustained during a fall. Kode apparently injured himself as he slipped in his bathroom, hurting his shoulder and wrist.

Gandhi letter not to be auctioned

The person who had put up Mahatma Gandhi's last letter for sale has withdrawn it from auction to enable the Indian government to acquire it. The decision to withdraw the Gandhi letters comes after several meetings between various ministries of the Indian government and the Indian High Commission in the UK.

Nimitz crew performs community service

The crew members of the USS Nimitz and the USS Pinckeney participated in community service events in Chennai on Monday. As part of the community service, the sailors painted classrooms and refurbished a playground at the Madrasa-i-Azam, a school and orphanage for disadvantaged Muslim boys.

The Nehru Memorial Museum and Library (NMML) hopes to acquire the rare manuscript written by Mahatma Gandhi 19 days before his assassination.With the auction house agreeing to withdraw the manuscript from Tuesday's auction, the NMML is keeping it's fingers crossed in anticipation of receiving possession of it.
