A sex racket has been unearthed in the backyard of the biggest office of Rajasthan's Education Ministry. The alleged prostitution den was run by a government employee, Ramesh Sharma, who is now absconding. The Shiksha Sankul office had kept a guard in the compound, who turned out to be the kingpin of the racket.

Madhani to form new front : Kerala

The PDP chairman, Abdul Nasser Madhani who was released from prison in connection with the Coimbatore serial blasts, has said that he will not form an alliance with either of the political fronts in Kerala. Instead, Madhani plans to unite the Dalits and Muslims in the state, a move which could upset the two dominant fronts in the state.

The Indian born engineer, Kafeel Ahmed, who drove a burning jeep into the Glasgow Airport on June 30, is dead. Kafeel had been in the hospital for a month with critical burns from the alleged attack on the airport which followed the two failed car bombings in London. Kafeel had been admitted to the hospital with 90 percent burns and was in a coma throughout his stay in the hospital.

The eight-lane highway bridge that collapsed into the Mississippi River during rush-hour traffic, had been rated 'structurally troubled' by the US government. The collapse of the bridge has resulted in the deaths at least four people, with a further 20 to 30 people reported missing by the police.

The Tata Motor's plan to roll out a Rs 1 lakh car from its factory in Singur, will see a delay due to different reasons such as flooding caused by heavy rains and delays in land handovers following political unrest. "The launch will be between April and September and most likely in the latter part of that period": a Tata Motors spokesman said.
