'Twenty20 may harm Test cricket' : Asif

The Pakistan pacer Mohammad Asif urged the administrators to keep the number of games of the Twenty20 format to a bare minimum as he feared that Twenty20 might eat into the fan base of Test cricket. Asif who was unimpressed by the shorter version of the game felt that it was loaded in favour of the batsmen and offered nothing to the bowlers.

Astronaut Sunita Williams who is currently in the country has congratulated the Indian cricket team on winning the Twenty20 world cup, however the baseball fan has confessed that she "did not know anything about the game". Williams was felicitated by the Ahmedabad Management Association (AMA)at the Louis Kahn Plaza of the Indian Institute of Management.

The Pakistani skipper Shoaib Malik received flak for his comments during the post-match ceremony wherein he thanked 'Muslims' worldwide for their support and apologised for losing the match. The mother of Irfan and Yusuf Pathan, Shamim Bano expressed her surprise at Malik's comments. She said, "Shoaib must have said that for his own countrymen, how can he speak for all the Muslims of the world?

In a gruesome incident a young lady doctor was allegedly raped and brutally assaulted on the night of September 20 in a room in the doctors hostel of the ESI Hospital in Raja Garden. The doctor who was interning at the hospital had completed her internship the very same day. The most shocking thing is the attitude of the hospital authorities who have washed their hands off the incident.

The Interpol is conducting an investigating to ascertain whether a photograph taken by a Spanish couple holidaying in Morocco could be of missing 4-year-old Madeleine McCann. The Spanish newspaper El Mundo on its website showed the photo of a young blonde girl, which bears a resemblance to Madeleine McCann.
