Delhi HC notice to tabloid cartoonist

The Delhi high court on Friday issued notice to a cartoonist of a tabloid for allegedly making caricature of the former Chief Justice of India Y K Sabharwal. The court, which had earlier issued notices to the daily's publisher, editor and reporter on Friday sought a response from its cartoonist for the alleged "scandalous" cartoon.

Army jawan gets death for murder

Singur farmer commits suicide

A Singur farmer, whose land was acquired for Tata Motors small car project, allegedly committed suicide today.The body of Prasanta Das, an inhabitant of Khaserbheri village which is part of the project site, was found hanging from a tree this morning, police said.
