Sacred bull 'Shambo' must die : UKI Court

A London court has ruled that 'Shambo' - a sacred bull kept by a group of Hindus in Wales - who has tested positive for bovine tuberculosis, can be slaughtered. Cows are sacred to Hindus and so far more than 20000 people have signed a petition to save Shambo.

The Andhra Pradesh CM, YSR Reddy launched a personal attack on Opposition TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly, leaving the house stunned. The attack came during the course of a heated debate on the issue of mining lease to Obulapuram Mining Corp. "I will expose you in such a way that you will repent having been born to your mother," the CM is reported to have told Naidu.

Jeweller arrested for criminal negligence :Building Collapse Case

Sanjay Jain, the owner of a jewellery shop, located on the ground floor of the ill-fated building 'Lakshmi Chaya', was arrested in connection with the collapse that killed 28 people. Jain was arrested for criminal negligence, which is suspected to have resulted in the collapse of the six-storied building.

Father attempts suicide, kills daughter instead

In a tragic incident, the 30-year old daughter of a retired assistant commissioner of Delhi Police was killed while attempting to prevent her father from committing suicide. Jai Bhagawan Malik, tried to kill himself, however his daughter snatched the gun in a bid to prevent him from doing so. In the scuffle that ensued, Malik fired three shots, killing his daughter.

6 persons injured in shooting incident : Haryana

Six persons, belonging to the Sikh community recieved minor injuries, follwing a shooting incident, wherein a Dera Sacha Sauda follower fired at them from his weapon in a village in Sirsa district of Haryana. The Dera follower, has been identified and arrested by the police and the weapon used by him has been recovered.

Rahimullah Yusufzai, a Peshawar-based senior journalist and expert on Taliban claims that the US's reported move to deploy it's forces in Pakistan in a bid to hunt down the elusive Osama Bin Laden, seems to be a ploy to bail out the US President George Bush. Yusufzai also said that it could not be ascertained that the recent violence in Pakistan was orchestrated by the Al Qaeda.

As per the revelations of Juan Mendez, Jon who is facing a total of 33 criminal charges, including sexual battery, committing a lewd act on a child, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor by giving her alcohol, had a liking for young girls.

The Australian Premier John Howard denied reports that he has pressurised the immigration minister into cancelling the visa of Mohammed Haneef or leaking information to the media in a bid to taint the image of the Indian doctor. Haneef was granted bail on Monday, however a few hours later his visa was revoked by mmigration Minister Kevin Andrews.
