The Australian fast bowler Glenn McGrath has expressed his interest in being involved with the new Twenty20 cricket league in India but has maintained that he is still fond of the 5-day form of the game. McGrath said that he was looking forward to promoting the shorter version of the game, but hoped Twenty20’s popularity did not impinge on tests.

A US arbitration panel has found American rider Floyd Landis guilty of doping and has issued him a two year ban besides stripping him of his 2006 Tour de France title. The United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) said that Landis has committed a doping violation in the sport's blue-riband event last year. Landis will be the first Tour de France winner to be stripped of the title victory.
