Actress Khushboo,is bracing herself for a fresh row, following her alleged remarks against the judiciary.The opinionated actress, who was slapped with a plethora of cases for her remarks on pre-marital sex two years ago, said:"I've not apologised even during the earlier controversy on my remarks on pre-marital sex and I am not going to do so even now."

7/11 blasts: Charges to be framed on June 22

A special court in Mumbai will frame charges against 13 persons accused in the 7/11 serial train blasts, which killed 187 people. The charges will be framed on June 22.Special Judge Mridula Bhatkar will conduct the trial of all the 13 accused, who have been arrested so far by the Anti-Terrorism Squad.

A bus fell into a gorge in Kainchimode near Dharamsala in Himachal Pradesh, killing 11 people and injuring 23,on on Wednesday night. The mishap occurred when the driver lost control of the bus while negotiating a curve.

Witnesses refuse to testify for the Kanishka probe

Two witnesses,in the 1985 Kanishka Air India bombing case, who were believed to have 'seismic' evidence, have refused to testify before a probe panel, citing fears over their personal security as the reason for not doing so. Meanwhile, a third witness suffered a heart attack just hours before taking the stand.

The manuscripts of the ancient Hindu text Rig Veda, dating from 1800 to 1500 BC are among 38 new items that have been added to the United Nations heritage list. The UNESCO programme,launched in 1992 to preserve and promote documentary heritage of global significance, helps networks of experts to exchange information and raise resources for preservation of, and access to, documentary material.

The Sri Lanka military on Wednesday claimed to have killed at least 87 cadres of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam in battles which took place in the north and East. Several boats of the Sea Tigers were claimed to have been destroyed by the navy and at least 40 cadres were killed in a battle off Vettilaikerni on Tuesday night.

A senior scientist of the Forensic Science Laboratory, who had claimed the “presence” of hydrocarbons in the fire in the ill-fated coach of the Sabarmati Express was grilled on Wednesday by a special inquiry commission probing the Godhra train carnage and the post-Godhra communal riots in Gujarat. However, the cross-examination was inconclusive and would be resumed on June 26.

The $7 billion Iran-Pakistan-India (IPI) gas pipeline seems to be close to finalisation with the government accepting the transportation tariff and the transit fee that Pakistan is demanding. A secretary-level meeting between India and Pakistan, with Iran joining later, is to be held to iron out the pending issues related to transportation tariff and transit fees.
