The Chennai team paid the highest amount for Mahendra Singh Dhoni in the first round. Dhoni was bought for Rs 6 crore ($1.5 million) and he will be joined in the Chennai team by Sri Lanka’s spin whiz Muttiah Muralitharan who was bought for Rs 2.4 crore ($600,000).
