USS Nimitz docks near Chennai amidst opposition

The American aircraft carrier, USS Nimitz, has docked near Chennai on Monday morning. The docking of the Nimitz-which is nuclear-powered-was opposed by environmental groups, Left parties, AIADMK and MDMK on account of fears of radiation.

USS Nimitz: US envoys defends docking of ship in Indian waters
