Haneef to be deported after trial, says Australia

The Australian Immigration Minister, Kevin Andrews, has said that Haneef would continue to remain in detention until his trial, but after that it is very unlikely he will be allowed to remain in Australia. If there are no new development in the case, Haneef will most likely be deported from the Australia after legal proceedings are over.

A strong earthquake took place in Japan's northwest coast on Monday killing at least nine people and injuring more than 1,000. Nearly 13,000 people crowded evacuation centres amidst fears of mudslides and aftershocks. The earthquake also triggered a fire in an electrical transformer and caused a leak of radioactive water at the Kashiwazaki Kariwa nuclear power plant.
