Cops Face the heat in Sohrabuddin fake encounter case

The CID probe into the Sohrabuddin fake encounter case has resulted in some of the accused cops going underground. So far six police officers have been arrested with ten more yet to be arrested, however there seems to be an invisible hand preventing their arrest.

Sanjay Dutts plea for probation will be taken up by Judge P D Kode at the special TADA Court on Wednesday in the 1993 serial bomb blasts case. Along with him, three of his associates, who have been convicted under the Arms Act for helping him destroy evidence, Yusuf Nulwalla, Rusi Mulla and Kersi Adajania, have also filed pleas for probation that are scheduled to come up in the court on Wednesday

World Bank chief's plea

Seven suicides took place across the city within a span of 24 hours.These included an HIV-positive man, an anaesthesia student in the civic-run Sion Hospital, an IT student, a domestic help in Powai , a bargirl living in Lokhandwala, Andheri, a mentally ill patient admitted to KEM Hospital and an 18-year-old girl.

Sikh Sects clash in Punjab
