In a bid to garner support against the Indo-US nuclear deal, the leader of the opposition party, L K Advani spoke to CPI-M leader Prakash Karat and sought his party's vote against the Indo-US deal in Parliament. In a shocking incident, according to eyewitnesses, a woman reportedly got out of a Honda City car and threw a bundle into a bin. The noises of a baby crying attracted the attention of people, who upon opening the bundle, discovered a newborn child. The baby is currently in a hospital and it's condition is reportedly stable.

The Nelamangala police have busted an organ trade racket in the garden city of Bangalore. Three people have been arrested for allegedly running a kidney trade. According to the police, the kingpin of the racket, Mahadeva has been running the operation for seven years, wherein he gave money to people in exchange of their kidneys.
