Spiders weave a giant web : Texas

Entomologists studying spiders have claimed that a variety of spider species built on one another's work to create a sprawling web that has formed a blanket over hundreds of yards of trees and shrubs at a park in North Texas. The heavy rains earlier this summer resulted in creating prime feeding conditions for the spiders, thus encouraging their activity.

The new video which closely followed the first video released on Saturday, urged young Muslims to follow the example of the hijackers and martyr themselves in attacks.

Wen Mengjie, a former director of the information technology department of the Agricultural Bank of China was executed for taking bribes and embezzling US$ 1.97 million. Mengjie was found guilty of taking kickbacks to the extent of US$ 1.4 million during the purchase of equipment and software for the bank and was also accused of embezzling US$ 5,70,000 from the state-run bank.

As per the findings of a survey for the Zagat restaurant guide, London has overtaken Tokyo and Paris to become the world's most expensive city for dining out. The cost for a three course meal for a person in the British capital at an average price of USD 54.08 has increased by 2.9 per cent from 2006.

The Uttar Pradesh government exposed one of the biggest recruitment scams in the state and has suspended 12 Indian Police Service officers and given the boot to as many as 6,500 young police recruits. The anti-terrorist cell (ATC) in Karnataka arrested two persons in connection with a fake currency racket that is allegedly linked to the ISI and underworld don Dawood Ibrahim. Shyam Geroge (37) and Srinivas alias Dhanush (35), who were arrested are the alleged kingpins of an inter-state fake currency racket.
