The former Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif who was deported to Jeddah shortly after arriving at Pakistan blamed President Gen Pervez Musharraf's 'ego and stubborness' for not being able to stay in his own country. "It is only Musharraf's ego and his stubborness that is standing in my way," Sharif told a TV Channel after arriving at the Islamabad Airport.

Saudi Arabia warmly welcomed Nawaz Sharif - who was was greeted by the Saudi intelligence chief Prince Miqren bin Abdul Aziz - saying it welcomed the return of the former Pakistani premier to his former exile home. "Nawaz Sharif is a guest of Saudi Arabia, which welcomed his coming to live in the kingdom once again," the official SPA news agency said.

Two trainee pilots identified as Squadron Leader Bhagat and a trainee pilot S C Pathi died in a plane crash in Hyderabad on Tuesday morning.
