The Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting, PR Dasmunsi, came to the aid of Sanjay Dutt, stating that all efforts should be made to enable the actor get 'relief' from the highest judiciary. The minister expressed 'deep shock and surprise' over the conviction of Dutt in the 1993 Mumbai blasts case and added that he has suffered for 'no intentional fault of his'.

Six convicted in fodder scam

Six people have been convicted by a Jharkhand special court for withdrawing and misusing huge amounts of money in the multi-crore fodder scam. The Railway minister Lalu Yadav and former Bihar chief minister Jagannath Mishra are also facing trail in the case. So far, 29 out of 31 accused have been convicted by the court.
